First part of Lifelong learning course „Constructive rules for fire safety of buildings“ held at UBL

In the framework of the Erasmus+ project K-FORCE (Knowledge for Resilient SoCiEty - Knowledge for Resistive Society) at the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy on March 20th, 2019, the first Long Learning Course "CONSTRUCTIVE RULES FOR FIRE SAFETY OF BUILDINGS" were held.

The course is conceived as a form of continuing education of technical engineers with a minimum of 240 ECTS credits, as well as professionals dealing with fire protection in practice. The lectures were attended by practicing engineers, experts from related fields, master and undergraduate students, teachers, and associates of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy at the University of Banja Luka.

Lecturers and lectures were:

  • prof. dr. Vinko Babić - The emergence, consequences, and measures of fire protection;
  • mr. Radovan Beleslin - Guidelines for Designing Structures Loaded with Firefighting Vehicles;
  • Goran Marčeta - Legislation and fire protection in design;
  • Damir Bosorić - Application of passive fire protection system;
  • Slavko Maslarić - Behavior in the event of a fire;
  • Ivana Klarić - Application of software packages for dynamic fire simulation and evacuation (PyroSim and Pathfinder).

The course was extremely visited. There were 107 participants in total, of whom 35 joined the test. All attendees of the course will receive the Certificate of attendance of the course, while for the attendees who have passed the program test will be awarded the Certificate of completion of the course.
