Another short LLL course lasting four days on 20, 21, 27 and 28 March 2019, Fire and rescue PPE, designed after the master course Personal protective equipment, came to its end

. It was held in two locations, in the VTSNS ICT Educational Lab and in the premises of the Fire Association of Novi Sad used by the VTSNS for practical exercises. There were 27 participants from voluntary fire brigades from Novi Sad and neighbouring settlements. They were highly motivated to here the latest news on PPE that can save their lives during interventions and 25 got certificates after passing four tests. Three teachers were engaged to talk about theoretical and practical aspects of PPE used by fire and rescue professionals, and prepared interesting presentations, video materials and brought equipment to be tried on. They were prof. Dusan Gavanski, head of the professional master programme Protection Engineering, Ljubica Krnjaic secretary of the Fire Association of Novi Sad, and deputy commander of the Fire and Rescue Brigade of Novi Sad, Miroslav Ostojic. The two latter are alumni of the VTSNS and renowned professionals in the area of disaster risk management and fire safety.
