K-Force project was promoted in the “Third National Conference for Finance” organized by Department of Finance at Faculty of Economy, University of Tirana, Albania

The “Third National Conference for Finance”, with the focus: “Priorities of Albanian Economy in the Context of Regional and Global Integration”, was held on 26 May 2017 in Tirana, Albania. The conference aimed, among other objectives, to bring the academic’s opinion as the critical voice and support of reforms, contributing mainly in sustainable economic and financial development of the country.

A very important message at this conference was the cooperation of the university with other financial public and private institutions, in order to: exchange data and study results, to unify fields of studies, to propose and implement joint projects, to propose improvement of study programs, and aiming toward the faster enhancement of economy. In this conference there were presented 40 papers with the contribution of 80 authors, professors of economy and other experts from important institutions in the field of finance.

K-Force project was introduced and presented in the opening session of the Conference, by Dr. Elona Pojani, also as the chosen paper to open the plenary session. The presentation included a brief introduction of the ERASMUS+ project Knowledge FOr Resilient soCiEty and the results of the study “Capacity Building in the Field of Risk of Catastrophes Management in Albania” conducted by Dr. Elona Pojani, Dr. Dorina Koçi (Janku) and Dr. Perseta Grabova. The study aims to assess the necessity for education in the field of disaster risk management in Albania. The analysis is based on two main axes: reviewing the programs offered in the aforementioned field in Europe and the region, to study the current higher education offer in other countries in this field and interviews with field experts in Albania, working in public institutions and international organizations, environmental NGOs, or in various research institutions.
