National Fire Protection Association - NUZOP RS (www.nuzop.org.rs) is the unique Serbian professionals’ association of active working experts in the field. NUZOP is a regionally oriented organization and represents a wide platform for gathering of experts dealing with emergencies situations and fire safety. Programs and initiatives are designed to assist institutions and national fire authorities in creating fire safety system, as well as fire, security and safety, and other relevant professionals to achieve and maintain the very highest standards of fire safety management.
Founders and members of the NUZOP are representatives of various fields of industry and commerce, having the mutual goal to identify and draw attention to the dangers of fire and the means by which their potential for loss is kept to a minimum.
Through its 20 different Expertise boards, it shows unique blend of engineers, scientists and consultants with extensive experience in all sectors, providing a comprehensive range of practical, high integrity services, offering the expertise in all aspects of fire including research, consultancy, training and membership.
The main aims and objectives of the NUZOP are:
- To raise awareness and educate in order to protect people, property, cultural heritage and the environment by advancing fire prevention and protection techniques
- Actively to participate in the process of creating regulations, standards, strategies and policies in the fire protection system in Serbia.

- To focus national, regional and international attention on these issues
- To collaborate with Government, and other institutions and relevant national, regional and international bodies in this work (Cooperation Agreement with FIRE SAFE EUROPE, Protocol on Cooperation with professional national associations from BH, Montenegro, FYRM, Slovenia and Croatia, etc.)
- To collect, analyse and publish statistics, identify trends, provide research and projects
- To disseminate advice and information from this area
The long term goal and purpose of the Association is to unite the efforts of socially responsible individuals, institutions and companies in the Republic of Serbia to act preventively through professional work and jointly, in the interest of all of us, improve fire safety system.
