In the first two working days, 29th and 30th of May 2019, Steering Committee representatives Meeting, Western Balkan Board meeting and Project Management Meeting were held at the premises of University of Tuzla Rectorate.
During the first day of the meeting in Tuzla, open discussion was conducted on following topics:
- Summary of what we have done so far and what is ahead of us (discussion about monitoring visit at UNS results)
- Text Books progress: FIRE SAFETY IN BUILDINGS (Presentation of the Final Draft of the Book and content of National Chapters) and DISASTER RISK MANAGEMENT IN THE WB (Presentation of the Final Draft of the Book and content of National Chapters)
At the end of the first working day, a workshop on project reporting and administration was held. The goal was to to prepare all participants dealing with administration and financing to be ready for the final report in time.
During the second day of the meeting in Tuzla, open discussion was conducted on following topics:
- Additional SMS for WBC Staff: Redistribution of unused funds.
- Report on Student's progress and work on master thesis at host HEIs
- Report on ICT platform usage (Number of users on CANVAS platform)
- Report on applied student centered learning methodology
- Progress report on the LLL courses
- Sustainability Strategy and Sustainability Plan discussion
On the third day of the meeting (May 31st 2019), the participats were on a visit to Protection and Rescue Sector of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo. The Protection and Rescue Sector was established in 2004 as the Department of Civil Protection. Sector is managed by Assistant Minister for protection and rescue Dr. Samir Agic, who was our host. During the visit, a discussion was held on the security system implemented at the level of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and on previous and future cooperation between institutions within the K-FORCE project.
